Description
Signature Trousers is a line from DIOGUARDI, a trouser tailor that makes nothing but pants.
Made with materials carefully selected by the designer and tailored in collaboration with tailors, the line's debut collection, "Mr. Flow," produced nine styles, numbered 001 to 009.
Among them, this piece, "009 Left Important," is derived from "002 Signature," the brand's own iconic silhouette, with its deep drop-crotch rise and a leg that gradually tapers toward the hem.

At first glance, it may look like a strongly design-driven piece. But once you see the quality of the tailoring, the fabric and, above all, the silhouette when worn, we think you will find that it wears far more cleanly than you might expect.
Below, we introduce this piece based on what we heard directly from designer Daniel Dioguardi about its concept and design.
As the name suggests, the waist is an asymmetric, structured design: from the center back toward the front, one side rises higher while the other sits lower.
This asymmetric tailoring comes from the concept of letting two different sides coexist in a single pair of pants: the elegant air of high-waisted trousers on the raised left side, and the relaxed feel of wearing them low on the hips on the right.
This lets you enjoy contrast in your styling: wear them high-waisted with a T-shirt or shirt tucked in, or low on the hips with sneakers for a casual look.

The front pleats, which are generally placed symmetrically, are shifted from their conventional position and arranged so that they wrap around the body.
This is not merely a decorative detail. It is deliberately designed to create asymmetric volume and a more organic movement and silhouette.
The raised left side of the waist is lined on the inside with the traditional interfacing used in tailored jackets.
This interfacing keeps the clearly asymmetric structure when the trousers are new, then responds to the body as you wear them and changes into a shape that follows the wearer's own movement. It plays an important role in this 009 Left Important.
"Structure" is an element deeply tied to DIOGUARDI's work, yet there is a sense of balance in not making it special or pushing it too far toward the formal.
You can sense the designer's intention to place importance on the relationship between structure and the movement of the body.
The fabric is an Italian-made trouser fabric, a blend of polyester, viscose and elastane.
It has a tailored look and drape while also offering good comfort and practicality.
It is available in two colors, gray and black. The gray has a lighter fabric suited to three seasons (spring, summer and autumn), while the black is thicker and better suited to autumn and winter.
Signature Trousers come with a dedicated garment bag.
The center pocket holds a booklet telling the story of this collection.
