About Our Scent Strip Trial Service
What Is a Scent Strip?
The word "mouillette" may be unfamiliar to some, but it means a paper strip onto which a perfume or other fragrance is sprayed.
Also called a scent strip, blotter or smelling strip, it is used to check a scent by spraying perfume onto the paper so that it absorbs the fragrance.
Shapes and designs vary by brand and shop, but the purpose is always to try a fragrance.
Ordering Scent Strips Is Effectively Free
The scent strips themselves cost ¥0. Ordering strips only costs ¥750 in shipping, but we send you a coupon for the same amount when we ship. Use it within 30 days of issue when buying an eligible fragrance, and the shipping is effectively free.
At the Lounge Sai shop, we place scent strips alongside the perfumes so customers can try the scents before buying a bottle.
In the same way, because we want you to try scents online too and find a favorite you are truly happy with, Lounge Sai Online offers scent strips effectively free of charge.
Every scent strip you order is sprayed just before shipping.

How to Order Scent Strips
- When you select a scent strip on a product page, the price shows as "¥0"; add the scents you are curious about to your cart and place your order.
- When you order scent strips only, shipping (¥750) is charged at checkout regardless of how many you choose.
- After your order is complete, when we ship the strips we send a ¥750-off coupon code to your registered email address, for use on a fragrance purchase next time.
To guard against unnecessary or overly frequent orders, we charge ¥750 in shipping when you order, but when we ship the strips we issue a coupon for the same amount you paid.
The coupon can be used once, within 30 days of issue, when you buy items with scent strips available in Lounge Sai's online shop.
Enter the coupon code on the checkout page when buying the fragrance you like, and a ¥750 discount is applied, so the shipping for your scent strips is effectively free.
If there is a scent you are curious about, start by ordering a scent strip, and when you find a favorite, use the coupon.
