Atelier Materi's Narcisse Taiji is a floral fragrance centered on clean, green narcissus, layered with the shadows of leather and patchouli.
Fresh, clean narcissus spreads in the top, and over time leather and patchouli emerge as clear accents.
Because it has a depth beyond a merely pretty floral, the cleanness of the top and its wild-edged beauty stand out all the more.
Suited to any gender, season or occasion, it's a beautiful work I can recommend to perfume lovers and as a first bottle alike.

Clean scents are often thought of as suited to hot weather, but like the narcissus, which blooms in the cold season and is called "the flower in the snow", Narcisse Taiji also shines beautifully in winter's cold, clear air.
The scent
The narcissus is a flower of light and shadow, vitality and delicacy. Perfumer Marie Hugentobler chose a rare, high-quality wild narcissus that grows in the highlands of Aubrac, France.
Local growers pick over 1,600kg of flowers, from which only 1kg of narcissus absolute is extracted. Its scent is delicate yet lingers long on the skin.
Narcisse Taiji contrasts the green, fresh radiance of just-picked flowers with narcissus's dim, wild side. Layering leather and patchouli on top, it balances cleanness and sensuality.
