MAD et LEN, the fragrance label from the south of France, opened its first flagship store in Japan in the Kuramae area on November 10, 2023.

At our shop too, MAD et LEN is something we mainly carry through its perfumes, while also occasionally introducing room fragrances like potpourri and candles at our pop-ups, so I think it's a brand many of our customers are already familiar with.

Since the brand first landed in Japan, this is its first flagship store after roughly 12 years, so I imagine quite a few people have been waiting for this.

MAD et LEN has now opened this third store, after Paris and Taiwan, in the Kuramae area of Tokyo.

It's about a 2-minute walk from Tawaramachi Station on the Ginza Line, and within walking distance of Kuramae Station too.

It has the kind of rich selection you'd only find at a flagship store, scent lineups you don't often get to see, candles, iron objects, and the full range of perfumes.

Inside, the store is filled with MAD et LEN's distinctive, natural and beautiful scent, with such a calm atmosphere that you'd want to stay for hours.

They also carry a full range of potpourri recharge oils, so if you already own some potpourri and have run out of oil, it's a good chance to stock up.

And the perfumes now come in packaging that's been renewed to coincide with this store opening.

Of course, Red Musc, by far MAD et LEN's most popular perfume, is there too.

Unfortunately the new packaging no longer comes with the iron case, but the label, which used to be a sticker, is now printed directly on the bottle in gold lettering.

The old label used to wear off easily, but that probably won't be an issue with the new packaging, and more than anything, it just looks more stylish than before.

The outer box has also been updated to something with crisper edges and a more premium feel.

And then there's the scent on the far right of the photo.

A new scent called Apocalypstick has joined the perfume lineup.

It's a classic rose scent with a very fresh, raw green quality, a type that hasn't existed in MAD et LEN's perfume lineup until now.

I felt it was, in the best sense, a scent that really feels like "perfume."

For what it's worth, it's a scent I personally love.

This new packaging and the new scent are currently available exclusively at the flagship store ahead of release, and we plan to carry them at our shop later on.

We recently announced this on social media: the December pop-up.We're in talks with the team to have Red Musc, currently out of stock, and the new Apocalypstick available there too, so we hope you'll look forward to it.
