Croissant and coffee, cola and popcorn. versatile paris creates fragrances around unique themes like these.
Here we introduce the brand and share our impressions of each scent. With spray versions now joining the roll-ons, there are even more ways to enjoy them.
About versatile paris
Founder Coralie Frébourg graduated from a perfumery school in Paris in 2019, andin October 2021, in the middle of the pandemic, in Paris, the perfume brand versatile pariswas born.
versatile paris was born as an antithesis to the fixed ideas that have built up around modern perfume since its beginnings, notions like "the more expensive, the better" or "floral equals feminine," ever-rising prices, and homogenized scents chasing trends.
It also takes the stance of rejecting "100% natural" as a slogan that too easily plants an image of safety, security and high quality in consumers' minds, stating plainly that it deliberately uses both synthetic materials, whose safety and stability are backed by scientific knowledge, and the merits of natural materials, rather than choosing just one.
The collection discloses every one of its dozens of ingredients and materials for full transparency, and you can sense the strength of conviction and concept behind it.
It's a wonderful lineup of scents that you'd never guess from the small, cute, casual visuals, earnest, of a new era, and yet thoroughly niche.

A New Kind of High-Concentration Roll-On Fragrance
When you think of perfume, you probably picture a spray bottle, but the first thing we'll introduce is versatile paris's roll-on format.
The roll-on comes in 15mL, and it's an alcohol-free, vegan fragrance with an almond oil base.
A 15mL size might sound like it would run out quickly, but the roll-on here is a high-concentration Extrait de Parfum at 30–38% (compared to around 15% for a typical Eau de Parfum).
You can apply just the amount you need straight onto your skin, so there's none of the waste you get with a spray landing on clothes or in the air, and since the high concentration also means the scent lasts longer and needs fewer touch-ups, they say that even at just 15mL, using it once or twice a day, it should last around four to six months.
Being alcohol-free, there's no whiff of alcohol the moment you apply it, and the almond oil, which sits nicely on the skin, never feels sticky.
If anything, it feels like it's doing double duty as a modest moisturizer for the skin.
Being oil-based, it could also be a good option for people with sensitive skin who still want to enjoy perfume.
And of course, the tiny 15mL bottle slips into a bag or pocket so you can take it anywhere, which makes it easy to reapply on the go, a nice bonus.
Perfumery by Flair, a Fragrance Creation Studio
The perfumery behind versatile paris is handled byFlair, a Paris-based creation studio founded by perfumers Anne-Sophie Behaghel and Amélie Bourgeois, which marked its 10th anniversary in 2023.
At the Salon des Parfums in October 2023 there was even a booth featuring Flair's work, and since both of them were there in person during the event, some of you may have met and spoken with them.
Flair also handles the perfumery for a brand we carry too: Liquides Imaginaires, along with OBVIOUS, 19-69, BDK Parfums and other brands, and this versatile paris collection reflects Flair's creative touch as well.
Roll-On Scent Lineup — 11 Scents
In this article, we introduce the 11 roll-on scents available as of September 2026 (including the holiday-limited Oh My Chaï) and the 6 spray scents. Since some scents share the same name across both formats, that comes to 12 scents in total. For release timing, stock and pricing, please checkthe versatile paris product list, where you can view them.
Now, let's start by introducing the 11 roll-on scents.
Croissant Café

Picture a freshly baked, buttery croissant beside a cappuccino topped with rich, creamy foam, that's the scene evoked by the brand's best-selling scent, Croissant Café.
. The coffee's bitterness feels like the crisp, slightly toasted surface of the croissant, setting it apart from purely sweet gourmand scents, I think it's easy to wear even for those who don't usually like gourmands, or who are trying one for the first time.
Scent keywords: Coffee, Cappuccino, Gourmand, Creamy, Toast, Grilled, Woody, Butter, Hot
Accrodisiaque

Among versatile paris's lineup, this is a clearly floral, rose-based scent with the green edge of berries and herbs, Accrodisiaque.
Think of it as a neo-rose in the leather, smoky family; with the leather that peeks through later, it's a rose anyone might want to wear.
Scent keywords: Vegetal, Dill, Blueberry, Tea, Matcha, Sensual, Leather, Smoky, Animalic
SEA, SUD & SUN

Neroli, fig and silky musk, with a sea-like saltiness.
Sea, Sud & Sun is, I think, a new marine-style scent where fresh top notes meet a soft, powdery sweetness.
Scent keywords: Fresh, Pastis, Fig, Icy, Neroli, Salty, Musky, Tropezian (Tropézienne), Marine
God Bless Cola

A scent released in October 2023. The moment you put it on, the sweet, poppy scent of caramel popcorn and a fizzy, cola-like note arrive together, a gourmand note that brings to mind a pop vision of America, God Bless Cola.
Every versatile scent smells delicious, and this one reflects the brand's character at its best.
Please try its American flavor, which makes you happy just by wearing it.
Scent keywords: Cola, Popcorn, Sugar, Vanilla, Sparkling, Addictive, Caramel, Warmth, Gourmand
Rital Date

Built on the concept of "an Italian's date," Rital Date is known for a delicious, food-like scent of Genovese pesto and olives in oil.
Some of you might wonder how it feels to wear the scent of pasta, but this fragrance really comes into its own once it's on your skin.
With a crisp lemon and the green bitterness of herbs clearly present, and a remarkable 38% concentration, it naturally performs very well as a perfume.
Scent keywords: Aromatic, Fresh, Pesto, Tasty, Zesty, Limoncello, Sugar, Pistachio, Creamy
Dimanche Flemme

Dimanche Flemme is a green musk in which citrus notes like lemon and bergamot, together with green basil, turn into a milky sweetness over time.
It's a relatively light scent within the lineup, and true to its concept of "Lazy day," a Sunday spent doing nothing, I think it's one to wear when you want to feel natural and at ease rather than fully wrapped in fragrance.
A neo-musk that also carries an almond powderiness, so it doesn't stop at simply being a fresh scent.
Scent keywords: Keywords: Green, Basil, Sparkling, Cardamom, Milky, Almond, Vanilla, Musky, Soft
Gueule de Bois

This scent, alongside Croissant Café, is one of the brand's especially popular fragrances, themed on "Hangover", Gueule de Bois.
Sweet rum and tobacco, spice and vanilla: a scent that recalls the flushed warmth of being tipsy.
. Despite the boozy image, there's a syrupy, gourmand-like sweetness to it, and I can see why it's become so popular.
Scent keywords: Keywords: Spicy, Pepper, Incense, Rum, Ambery, Syrupy, Mellow, Warm, Woody
Culot Thé

Culot Thé is built around the concept of "tea time," offering a comforting scent of tea that gently unfolds.
You can clearly feel citrus and jasmine, so think of jasmine tea with a squeeze of lemon.
Speaking of tea-scented fragrances, the one that smells like black tea is Liquides Imaginaires Phantasma also a work by Anne-Sophie Behaghel, who composed Culot Thé, and if you're a fan of Phantasma, I think this scent will really strike a chord with you.
Fresh yet warm, it's a tea perfume for every season.
Scent keywords: Fresh, Tingly, Citrus, Floral, Tea, Apricot, Spicy, Wasabi, Soft
La Foncedalle

versatile paris unveils a unique scent with every release, and this one is almost unbelievable.
This La Foncedalle takes on a challenging theme that makes you wonder about it as a perfume: roast chicken, beer and weed.
It's a scent with an intense spiciness and herbal aromatic quality that becomes addictive, while still managing to conjure up a soft impression of both roast chicken and beer.
This one-of-a-kind "playfulness", found in no other brand, is the essence of versatile.
It's a surprising scent I'd really love for you to try.

It's a Match-a

As the name suggests, It's a Match-a takes matcha, so familiar in Japan, as its theme.
You can feel an astringent tea scent, like the color of matcha powder turned into scent, together with milkiness and a warm creaminess.
It's nothing like the atmosphere of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony; it has a casual air that captures French daily life, like drinking a matcha latte over pancakes at a café.
Toward the base, the sweetness settles into a matcha with a hint of fruit.
Among the mostly sweet gourmands, it's relatively restrained, a scent for any gender or season.

Oh My Chaï

A log cabin surrounded by fir trees, a break with chai spiced with cinnamon, cardamom and clove while logs burn in the fireplace.
Oh My Chaï brings that scene to mind.
Far from the easily imagined "chai expressed with lots of spice", this twisted scent where smokiness and woodiness seem to take the lead is typical versatile paris.
A fresh top of orange peel and spice, then woody smokiness, and as the fire dies down, a gentle milkiness remains.
This one is a holiday-season limited release. Please check the product page for availability and timing.
The Spray, a Vivid Scent
In addition to the roll-on, a spray version has now joined the lineup.
It's a 30mL Extrait de Parfum based on alcohol derived from organic wheat, with a 25% concentration. This is a different formulation from the alcohol-free, oil-based roll-ons introduced so far.
Even scents that share the same name can feel quite different once they're on your skin.
Use the vivid spray at home, and when the scent fades while you're out, layer on the compact roll-on.
I hope you'll freely enjoy the best of both formats, spray and roll-on.
5 Scents You Can Also Enjoy as a Spray
Croissant Café Spray brings the bitterness of cappuccino and a roasted, smoky edge even further forward, with the sweetness kept restrained and emerging only at the end.
God Bless Cola Spray opens with a scent that calls to mind a fizzy, spicy cola right from the start. Of course, the playful sweetness of caramel popcorn and vanilla comes rushing in too, for a happy gourmand.
Gueule de Bois Spray keeps the sweetness you get from the roll-on more restrained, while letting you feel even more of the rum's depth, along with the smokiness of spice and tobacco.
Rital Date Spray is vivid with juicy citrus from the moment you spray it. The tomato note also comes through more easily, leaving a strong impression of fresh, vegetal lemon, tomato and basil.
Culot Thé Spray is brighter than the roll-on, with citrus, jasmine and black tea leaves standing out even more. Once it settles in, you'll also catch a hint of floral notes and apricot sweetness.
Very Bad Rice

And then there's Very Bad Rice, released as a spray-only scent.
Rice cooked in coconut milk, with mango and purple yam (ube) – a tropical gourmand that feels like a tribute to Thailand, the land of endless summer.
Hot, humid, sticky air under a blazing sun – you can sense the tropics in the scent itself.
Despite the word "rice", it feels less like food and more like a gourmand that lets you savour the sweetness of tropical fruit.

Scents That Make You Want a Second, Then a Third Bottle
So there you have it, our introduction to the roll-on and spray scents. Given the size, the creativity behind them, and their relatively accessible price point, owning several to switch between depending on your mood or the season is a great way to use them.
It also seems ideal for wearing the spray in the morning before heading out, then reapplying with versatile paris's easy-to-carry roll-on while you're out and about.
And one last thing, a personal recommendation for how to wear versatile paris's roll-on.
You can apply the amount you like to your wrists, neck, waist or wherever you prefer, just as you would with a regular perfume, but taking advantage of the fact that it's an almond-oil-based roll-on, I also use it as a nail oil.
It's not designed as a moisturizer, so it feels lighter than an actual nail oil, but I actually like that it doesn't get too oily, and I use it for that reason.
Like your wrists, your fingertips move around all day, and catching a faint whiff of scent when the hand holding your phone happens to come close to your face makes for a really happy little moment.
If you already own a versatile paris fragrance, please give this a try sometime.
For Those Who Want to Try a Scent That Caught Their Eye
