Outrecuidant opens with fruity pineapple and cassis: fresh fruit with a stillness rather than sweetness.
You keep bringing your wrist to your nose to catch that fresh pineapple, and before you know it, it has turned into animalic leather: a masterful evolution.

via the Old French cuidance (a leap of thought)
Grapefruit and pineapple shine provocatively with an exaggerated orange blossom, while saffron and cardamom answer back, showily raising their voices. As the leather emerges, labdanum's woody notes and resin grow fiercer, and finally oud, heightened by patchouli, pulls it all together as if accepting the whole display of arrogance.
