Spoils of a soul sold to the devil: a singular note woven from chaotic dissonance
As the bottle color, the concept and the fragrance name “Beauty of the Devil” suggest, this is the most complex of the Liquides Imaginaires, with many scents intermingling, and I think it is a fragrance that is hard to put into words.
If I must put it into words, it is a unique scent: the herbal liquor absinthe, known as the “forbidden drink,” the sharpness of gin and a floral lightness are all wrapped whole in smoke, then aged in a cask, which adds a woody quality.
Whether it can simply be called a good fragrance (one loved by everyone) is open to question, but it is a distinctive scent that, once smelled, is hard to forget.

Louise Turner
Louise Turner, who is from the United Kingdom, is a perfumer at Givaudan, the world’s largest fragrance house, which has produced numerous renowned perfumers.
She expresses scent drawing inspiration from flowers she loves, including the texture of the petals and the sense of joy flowers bring.
She is also known for creating Maison Martin Margiela’s “Lazy Sunday Morning,” a worldwide hit, and Liquides Imaginaires’ “Blanche Bête” won a Best Niche Fragrance Award in 2022; she is active as one of the perfumers who have left a major mark on the fragrance world.
