The black bottles from Histoires de Parfums that we recently also started carrying online — the En Aparte , all three of them — thank you so much for the scent-strip requests and bottle purchases that have already come in.
Not that many shops carry the three En Aparté scents, so I imagine some of you were trying them for the first time, but I'm glad they've been so well received.
Now, following on from that En Aparté collection, we'd like to introduce more scents we've newly started carrying from Histoires de Parfums.
This time we've added nine new scents.
- 7753 - Unexpected Mona
- 1899 - Hemingway
- 1804 - George Sand
- 1828 - Jules Verne
- 1969 - Parfum de Revolte
- 1740 - Marquis de Sade
- 1472 - La Divina Commedia
- Ambre114
- 1725 - Casanova
Together with the three from before, that brings our Histoires de Parfums lineup to 12 scents as of now.
A lot of Histoires de Parfums scents are the kind that make you think, every time you wear them, “perfume really is great,” the kind that lift your mood.
As brands go, this isn't some newly created, buzzy brand, and it isn't one carried by only a tiny handful of shops either — but I've always felt that, in any era, the heart of fragrance is wearing the scent you truly love, and that feeling — wanting to carry the things I like — grew strong enough that after we started carrying the three En Aparté bottles, we spoke with the brand again and were able to start carrying these as well.
A good scent stays good no matter how many years pass — it's that simple.
And looking at the photo, some of you may already have guessed, but what we're carrying at Lounge Sai this time are the 120mL full bottles.
When it comes to Histoires de Parfums, the 15mL travel size and the 60mL half bottle are the usual sizes carried, and the 120mL full bottle is almost never handled in Japan — so much so that some people probably assume the Histoires full bottle is 60mL. But in fact, just like with En Aparté, the regular line also has a 120mL full bottle. (Some pieces within the brand only go up to 60mL.)
This is just a matter of my own preference, but once I find a scent I love, I'm the type who wants to wear it to my heart's content in a full bottle without holding back, so we're offering it as a full bottle.
For most brands, a full bottle usually means 100mL, or often even 50mL, so I hope you'll enjoy a 120mL full bottle without any hesitation at all.
Finally, let me introduce a few of my favorites from these nine new scents.
That said, we're not carrying the brand's entire lineup to begin with — I picked the scents I personally love, so I like all nine of these — but right now I'm in the mood for 1804 - George Sand, a spicy-fruity scent with pineapple, peach and spice.

In these August summer days, the juicy fruit and spice are just perfect.
And then there's "1472 - La Divina Commedia, a scent where herbal notes and floral sweetness live side by side.

It's said to be a scent themed on the Divine Comedy, the epic poem and masterpiece by Dante Alighieri.
There's a distinctive edge from mugwort and herbs, or something like that — that perfectly balanced hint of bite is just great.
It also has a slightly cool, breezy feel that makes it easy to wear even in the hot months.
Then there's also 1899 - Hemingway, a gourmand with vanilla and cinnamon that I really love.

I wear it year-round, but it's especially lovely in autumn and winter when it's a bit chilly — it gives off a warmth that feels really good.
If you haven't tried these two yet, I really hope you'll give them a try.
As I touched on earlier, I feel like Histoires de Parfums' scents are the kind that teach you "ah, the world of fragrance is this much fun," and leave you feeling genuinely excited.
I think it's an easy scent to wear, whether you love perfume already, don't normally wear it, or are looking for your very first bottle, so if you're curious, please start by requesting a scent strip and giving it a try.
So, alongside what we've carried so far, we hope you'll continue to enjoy Histoires de Parfums' scents going forward as well.
